Do you possess the requisite skills to oversee the maintenance of the books of accounts, support the Financial Accounting process on a day-to-day basis and the relations with financial institutions by assisting in the implementation and control of cash management? The Position will require the Candidate to:

• Ensure proper internal control procedures are in place for the department

• Monitor and review balance sheet reconciliations process (Bank, driver shortages, fixed assets, inventory)

• Ensure cash is safeguarded and effective control measures are in place and complied with on a daily basis

• Responsible for all cash collections at the DC

• Manage Bank Accounts and bank account balances to provide cash flow efficiency

• Ensure audit schedules are completed and filed monthly by agreed deadline

• Monitor fixed asset register and fixed asset capitalization

• Ensure taxes are recorded and paid on time (GCT, Asset Tax, Minimum Business Tax, Corporation Tax)

• Ensure proper authorization of all journal entries

• Manage the general ledger closure process to achieve deadlines

• Lead the monthly trial balance review process

• Make journal postings, as is necessary

• Manage the inventory reconciliation process

• Oversee the Intercompany management and reconciliation

• Ensure intercompany invoices are posted daily and discrepancies investigated and resolved

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Management or ACCA/CIMA, Accounting Degree equivalent

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting or similar accounting function.

• A self-driven professional with a can-do attitude and exceptional communication skills

• Experience in managing a team

• Exceptional customer service and people skills

• Ability to use one’s initiative and critical thinking

• Good time management skills to meet reporting deadlines.

• Knowledge of SAP application software
