Chief Operating Officer – Montego Bay, JM 

A vibrant, fast paced group of attraction companies providing excellent service across the Caribbean is seeking a dynamic individual to join its strong team of energetic, skilled and dedicated professionals in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer based in Montego Bay, Jamaica. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. As a key member of the senior management team, the COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and establishes policies that promote company culture and vision through its operations. The COO is responsible for the efficiency of the business, which includes maintaining control of diverse business operations and establishing and following a set of policies and processes. The COO role is a high-visibility position, requiring strong communication skills and the responsibility of being called upon to positively represent the organization in the community. The COO must maintain the highest level of integrity and lead by example in all areas.


Duties and Responsibilities 

Provide day-to-day leadership and management

Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu

Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and staff

Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent

Dedication to building and growing a strong and stable workforce

Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving in pressure situations

Raise Capital through banks /investors to foster growth

Evaluate sales initiatives & plans to ensure required ROI

Qualification and Experience

BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Proven experience in similar capacity in the Caribbean

Minimum 5 years in Caribbean Tourism Sector

Must possess a valid US visa

Strong Computer Literacy with familiarity in Management of Information Systems.

Having a working knowledge or understanding of marine /boating business operations is desirable.

Strong Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving Skills
